The RopeKnight is an excellent tool and much better than all other throw weights available.

Have a look at this thread:

Surely that's just a personnel opinion mate??

I could say the same thing about the throwpod!! Which I'm my opinion it's by far superior to any throw weight :D lol

I do how ever Agree with Ross, the 8oz Harrison rockets are like little demons being fired from a magnum 45, extremely accurate even at 80ft. :)

Harrison Rockets 8-10-12 oz range, didn't like the throwpod and use the bullet section of the rope knight for tight crotches. Zing it and hevea throwline, faltheimer cubes only- stein cube was just total rubbish and same with petzl cube.

Couldn't imagine doing treework without these essential tools

Hi Adam

That's definitely just my opinion but I have been using both a Throwpod and RopeKnight over the last two months so I can now draw accurate comparisons.

Of course, it's still just my opinion and the subject of a different thread so we don't derail this one.

Thanks.

I use 50m of zing-it with a 10oz bag can't remember who makes it. I attach to the bag with an anchor hitch and use the one handed basket method. Probably not as accurate as if like normally hit my target 2nd or 3rd throw but still very much quicker than ALT method. I attach my zing-it to my line with 3 half hitches which seems to do the job spaced a few inches apart from each other

When tying the throw line on the weight I use a larks foot with around two inches of tail. it wont come of buy normal throwing etc but if the bag does get stuck you pull really hard and TADDAR the bag and line come back to the ground, I saved me no end of times I don't no why everyone dont use this method
