That's the way to explain it I couldn't think of how to say it but it's the sit back with the Vt that put me off abit cause I found my self tending the knot every time I sat back in to it but thanks for all the advice, had a go climbing with the Knut earlier and loved it doesn't seem to open up and unset like the tv did maby with abit more experience I can move on to the Vt , thanks

well i use a knut on my main system and a vt on my work position strop. i think you'll know when you find a good set up that works for you. a good bit of advice i was given once, when introducing new bit of kit, one thing at a time and get used to using it before putting anything else in the mix.

I use a swabisch on my hc. Quite a compact knot, and doesn't sit back too much. Might be worth giving that a go...
