music while working opinons???

Music is a must for me, I have always got my ear defenders on at work.

i think music is the least of your worries if you have ear defenders chainsaws and a chipper i doubt youll hear anything

Nah, I've got quite a piercing whistle from up a tree. The guys can usually hear it overt a Husq 395 on full revs. There's no way I'd let them listen to music. Aren't the sweet tones of a saw and achipper endlessly charming enough?

i do agree the sweet charms of a saw or chipper are nice to listen too but the constant wurr when logging is something totally different

I plugged my earphones into my iPhone the other day while ringing up a 30" stem with a 460.

 

Every time I throttled up the saw my music stopped. Weirdest thing. Maybe to do with the electromagnetics?

I had a groundsman one place I use to sub to who used to insist on having his music on...used to drive me nuts trying to get his attention....needless to say I stopped going there

As much as i like listening to music, just enjoying the natural sounds in the woods gives me plenty enough joy..... and thats where using hand tools, Silky saws, Austrian scythe, etc really comes into it's own.

Love all kinds of music but not at work . Apart from not having your full attention on what you are doing how can you enjoy it properly ?
