Everybody copy's everybody else.

That's a fact.

I'm sure Ed Hobbs didn't just come out with his device from thin air?

I'm pretty sure blocks have been around thousands of years?

The wheel has been around a while.

It has ALL been done before.

The Aliens told me that.

It's always going to happen but just hope no one gets hurt.

I am sure the manufacturers don't just cobble some bits out of the shed and weld it together.

For me the time and effort just are not worth it

And the piece of mind that it will have been designed and tested.

I am not saying I would not copy anything but I would consider what it is very carefully

it is calculated by testing it to destruction...or in my case taking it to a boatyard and letting them stamp it up for me. Of course it hasn't got a CE mark. So I never, ever use it...it just sits in the lock up.

...not sure you're supposed to strap it to your thigh, but what the hell!

Yeh, but that was an easy error to make, the second groundy who mounted the bollard was not at fault, just Felix stood still for a moment too long next to the tree!
