Aquired Stihl 056 and Husqvarna 242 Chainsaw

Well then now.

 

I took the 242 is in for a service and sharpen, and on getting back to work myself and a colleague got talking about chainsaws. He was telling me how he purchased a 550xp a little over a year ago, and was looking at selling it on as he'd only used it a couple of times and decided he's purchasing the 536Li.

 

From what I can gather of prices online, he's selling it pretty cheap and he's going to have it serviced before selling.

 

So I'm rather back to thinking of selling the 242 and the 056 now, and going with the 550xp!

Just a quick update, Joe is now the owner of one of the 056, with TCD looking like he's going to own another 242 soon!

 

The 550xp fell through, as once he'd tried out a 536Li he hated the idea so decided to keep the 550xp.

 

On hearing the news it was straight to FR Jones and yesterday this arrived

Hi mate, the 056 arrived this Monday. heavy old lump, you wouldn't want it for everyday logging. It's now got a brand new 36" b/c and it runs like a beast, though it is running on a helluva lot!

 

Very tidy saw, and great service from Rhodri.
