sorry i am late in coming to this thread , we have had severe telephone line problems ,

Ok i got one of these saws in similar circumstances to you. and had to get it up and running again.

i used a guy in Greece to get me a new piston, and the rest came from the site already mentioned.

except a new bar which i got from Treestuff in the USA due to its size.

when up and running this is one of the best torque saws i have used, yes it is heavy ,but boy it has power,

I have now fitted a much larger bar and am using it in my Alaskan Mill with no probs at all.

the only negative things i will say is that it does (with heavy use ) go through a lot of AV mounts , esp the front left.

the only other problem i have had is the throttle assembly jammed after a heavy cutting session ,( the end of the throttle rod went past the stop .)

other than that a great saw.

let me know if you want any info, contact me via my email or FB page.,

Just an additional update on this saw for anyone who searches for it in the future.

The leaky part is in fact called a Fuel Plug and is part number 13132932330

When searching on the parts diagram we have come to the conclusion that they have omitted this part from the diagram for the CS-8000 but it does show it on the CS-8001.

I have just ordered the part so hopefully this saw will finally be in service again soon!

A fuel leak caused by a £1.50 part! Typical!

Ive ordered a few

We bought an 8002. I've not used it yet but boy it's well made. More magnesium in it than a magnesium mine!

Got it new from Radmore & Tucker. When we picked it up from the PDI / workshop, they went to say "see you back when it needs any servicing" but then said "actually we won't, not with that. Maybe if it was a Husqvarna, we'd see you soon". Lol.

Hi

Just seen your pics of that lovely Echo again & noticed the labels are in French so you must send it to me without delay!

It will need rubbing with Garlic & a drop of Pastis now and again

I must say well done to get it almost going and looking so good
