Yale imori...lots of stretch :(

Hey guys

I'm currently climbing on Yale imori and find it incredible difficult on a long haul back up the tree due to what I would class as a lot of stretch. The only other rope I have ever use was xtc on a rec climb where the anchor was roughly the same hight as mine and there was a lot less stretch. Does anyone else that climbs on imore think there's a lot of stretch? It's got to the point where I'm thinking of changing rope because of it

Pantin and try and try to climb less jerkily.. The bounce comes from you. Saying that though, it is stretchy rope. I notice stretch more SRT than DdRT for some reason. It may feel bouncier because xtc is stronger, therefore your weight is a greater proportion of the working load limit on a weaker thinner rope than a fat old xtc. If you check out the dynamic elongation curves of each rope you will see what I mean.
