560xp "flat spot"

anyone else? had mine a month or two now but only realistically started working it hard this week,8 tanks a day in large ash coppice.starts,runs and cuts like a dream,just has a very slightly annoying flat spot when revved from idle,keep it spinning its fine but just that fraction of a second is bugging me! guess it'll wear in? thanks :001_smile:

Mine used to do that way back when I first got it ( 2011 ) Had all the warenty bits done , new carb and a remap . Then pete modded it and its never done it since ...

In real terms, it is giving too little fuel at low revs, this is the prime cause of that early to mid range bogging before the high speed circuit kicks in.

 

I know what you do to a carb to get rid of it but no idea on an autotune:confused1:

 

ha ha,me too! strangely after about 11am (this week) when it feels a couple of degrees warmer it stops doing it :confused1: fair weather saw maybe :biggrin:

My 550 was the same until I took the spark arrester mesh out - don't know if you've tried that but if not it can't do any harm.

thanks mate,by definition then you could create a flat spot by winding in L screw ?

 

As Barrie, my twin, says YES. If you are used to running 346XPs, 345/350 Huskys, you will know the feeling when they are stone cold, they bog on whacking the throttle open until there is a little warmth in the engine.

 

In this case,it is normal!
