Where to buy Victa Mowers?

Recommended Posts

I have an old 550 pro mulch mower and its getting on a bit now and don't want it to fail on me. So i'm looking to replace it with a similar mower, but i can't seem to find anyone who sells victa mowers in the uk?

So does anyone know of where i can buy them from or a similar sort of mower capable of cutting long, thick grass and spreading it well?

Many thanks, James.

Barrus was the importer and we where agents for them, but the imissions lew stopped them from from coming into Europe. The nearest thing we now do is the Rover.

Have you tried Ebay? I used the old victa mowers yaers ago when I used to mow cemeteries for a living and they were brilliant. Oddly enough, I have just given away a huge Victa cylinder mower to a local cricket club. Beast of a machine but it cuts beautifully.

Its a shame if they are no longer imported as they are one of the best mulching mowers i've ever used, take on very long grass with ease and still manages to spread it with ease.

Anyone know of a similar mower i could look into buying then?

Toro and Ariens are the next best thing here. Instead of using

2-strokes, the pressure lubricated version of the sweet Kawasaki

FJ180V is used so can be used on slopes. I had 2 of the side discharge/mulch/bag Ariens, good machines

Thanks for that do you know what model of ariens you had? there are loads of models! I have one but it doesn't like being used on steep banks as the fuel mixes with the oil for some reason?
