Does the discharge chute fold down for storage? Looks as though its hinged on the front but cant really tell from any photos of them.

Yes it does but you have to undo 2 bolts. Get yourself a 19mm ratchet spanner and its easy.

15 months in at 110 hours, love it. Keep on top of service and greasing and only turn blades 180 degrees.

 

Only 2 negatives is the grease point below the hydraulic hose area - nightmare to access and the exhaust being at chassis level, exposure to salt and potential grounding.

 

Beyond that, if you're a small 2 - 3 person outfit....buy it.

I love the 130. I've had mine 3 and a half years and I'm just about to update to the mk 2 version of the 130 which has a folding indeed chute and is consequently much shorter. It also has led lights, control buttons on the side and a lockable tow hitch.

Whats the difference in length between the old and new 130? storage is limited for me so could be a factor in buying a new/old machine

Not sure on the actual dimensions but from the pictures it looks a similar length to the old tw125 I used to own. If storage is an issue the folding discharge chute is a big plus too.

I’ve just got the 150P. Couldn’t be happier with it. I started with a cs100 as my first chipper but wanted something bigger. After looking at lots of second hand hand decided to buy new so I wasn’t buying someone else’s problems. My local dealer was offering the 150p for £1000 + vat more than the 130. Has it out on its first proper outing last week chipping conifer and was really impressed. With two of us feeding it we struggled to keep up, not a massive drag. Filled my transit 3 times and the Landy tipper once on 18l of fuel.

How many litres per hour would you say it used? Been monitoring my chipper and it's right around 4 litres of diesel an hour
