Sorry in the pub whilst I wrote that and had not realised I had sent it ... It was a complete waste of time and would of been a hell of a lot easier to swing back over and take my anchore point out with the 020 ... I learnt by my mistake ... Never again a very bad idea!

I use both powered & silky pole saws when needed.

 

"I'm sorry i don't have the purity of ethics to climb out further over those those phone lines, I'll just cut the branch from here, using less effort & taking less time" ":thumbup:

 

Joking aside, every tool has it's place - it's choosing the time & place to optimise it's use that is the hard part.
