Talking to guy who had garden centre

Vat inspector turned up and asked him how much turf he'd sold

Pressed few buttons and gave hie figure

Vat inspector said " thats vatable"and gave him bill for £3500

So I have paper system

All invoices shoved in an envelope

If he wants to analyse it he can but it will take him hours

The garden centre either did not charge vat on it or failed to pass it on. Friends of ours had a tax inspection which turned their lives upside down for 6 months. The tax man asked to see their personal supermarket receipts and asked how much they spent on washing up liquid per year. They were squeaky clean  and had nothing to pay but it cost them thousands in accountant fees. If you get an inspection its not for the tax man to prove its for you to prove you dont and its easier with good records especially since they go back 6 years and you should keep your books for 10.

From reading this thread, I've looked at and had a go with invoice to go, seems to be what I would want.

For the people who have it, is there any way of backing up the quotes and invoices to computer as I would want to have a copy that isn't on "the cloud".

Is the payment a one off? And can it be used when you are offline as well as online?

I like it, quick tip...buy it on android as it was half price (as opposed to buying on a mac). It will work on all systems anyway as it's cloud based. Also if you use it on a mac, use it with chrome and not safari

On the mobile app trial it comes up with 3 options, option 2 costs about £35 but only gives you one user. Does that mean it will only work on one computer or can it still be accessed via phone, I pad and PC?
