Which Cordless drill?

Been using an Erbauer from Screwfix fo a while just make sure it has a clutch, is reversible for undoing screws as well and the Li batteries are better than the NiCad ones I have on mine.

 

They are great tools, especially if you are doing work away from the house - got mine to fit double glazing in my house - just the job:thumbup:

I too have been checking them out as its time I had a new one, ive been on a 18v dewalt with 3.0ah battery's for a while but its nearly had its day... ive borrowed a few from friends and I believe ill be getting a hilti next..

I've always used Makita

I have the 18 volt lithium impact driver and combo drill kit

In my mind the best drills on the market mine are the limited black and white addition

i have the makita 18v lithium ion black n white combo drill and seems fine for most things, i dont use it day in day out though, it has plenty of torque as i found out when the drill jammed and sent the drill body into my mouth!!!! so apart from that incedent i love the driill, case is handy too. downside mine only came with one battery but with a 20min charge time hasnt caused me any hassle.

Panasonic used to be good.

Nothing good is ever cheap.

But expensive kit is not necessarily good.

Panasonic are excellent, quality drills and impact drivers, not cheap though.

I use this combination, have broken most other makes, now I am all makita.

 

 

 

18v lithium Ion, do not abuse the batteries, they die if they get too hot.

At the end of the day you get what you pay for, I use mine hard every day, and it is lasting well.

 

 

+1 I'm a joiner to trade in a past life:blushing: I've tried most makes and only used makita for the last 5 years as it last the best. As above buy the drill then get the impact driver or keep an eye out for deals on screwfix tool station

Once you've used an impact driver for putting in/taking out screw, you'll wonder how you ever managed without one - leagues apart from a conventional driver but no good for drilling.

 

I use one to drill in tek screws.

 

Depends hw much you are looking to use it, but I've found the Ryobi 1+ 18V range not bad for the money. Not a professional grade item but they seem to last well with infrequent (though often heavyish) use.

 

I was given a ryobi impact and drill set 4 years ago, still working well so I have had the batteries re-celled (80quid).
