I also started this thread for a laugh, I had the boom box out as I was fitting new light on my trailer, I knew I had set myself up for a barrage of abuse from the anti wolf brigade but I never hear an justifiable comments as to TW being pants?? I asked TW why the don't put greaseable bearings on the main rotor shaft and was told they had tried on a couple that went in demo but the lads using it didn't grease it! Second if something wraps around the shaft it will still overheat bearings that are greaseable. He also said that if you keep your blades sharp and anvils you should have no probs.

Sorry but he's just not being honest there, there is a very simple reason why they don't use grease-able bearings, they won't fit, there simply is no room, TW know the small sealed bearings are to small, bigger sealed ones would be a move in the right direction, but there simply is no room.

They would need to redesign the whole machine, and they don't want to.

Fortunately the positives about their machines are enough to keep a pretty big market happy, so it is still a successful machine.

I've used a timberwolf once and that was the tracked machine it chipped wood people may say there is an ultimate machine but every jokes different and even using a 15 inch feed bandit and Vermeer every day they can't chip everything. They may not be as durable but as a cheaper priced machine it does the job
