Hi all, what ticket do I need to be able to set up traffic management please? I have had a quote of a hire firm to do it all but its silly money and will only hire for a week. I could hire the stuff needed for a lot less.

Try these guys hodge, nearly went on one in Kendal the other year. If you need numbers if be up for it.

Do you still need one ticket to set up and another to "supervise"?

Apparently I can get away with just the operating ticket mate, I will look into it. Thanks.

Hi Guys,

Depend on teh route you wish to go, if you just want the ability to set up TM / Lighs / stop go for use in line with your commercial / domestic / utility work you can go the sctreet works card route. However if you wish to work on Local Authority or highways works you will need to go the Sector Scheme Route as its a requirement of government and the HA through your local authority. Something else to bear in mind is the requirement of your insurance.....point 1, are you actually covered for TM.....point 2, what quals do THEY want you to have to cover you......just a few things to bear in mind.

The street works card can be done in a day I think, but the 12d sector scheme will take longer if you want to get the card, for t1 & t2, basically the same as street works (part2?), a day of theory, a yard or depot assessment as they call it, a live assessment for stop/go, and a live assessment for 2 way lights, with the assessments taking between half a day to a day.
