Horse logger available from spring 2014 for cordwood work

Recommended Posts

Small experienced horse logging crew, all modern equipment and fully fitted out lorry base.

We operate with some of the most powerfull heavy working horses this side of the Atlantic and aim for good rates of production over all types of terrain (between 8-10 ton over a six hour shift ish dependent opon circumstances).

Cord dropped, chopped and stacked to spec, we work on price per ton (at roadside and at current market prices), happy to work under land owner/fire wood merchants orders and can travel nation wide although currently in the SW, we pride ourselves in getting the best results from under used sites and clean cord for the end user.

Office ~ 07897140930.

Lorry ~ 07932439812.

Jon, I forwarded your advert to some folks I know who need felling and extraction doing in Wales, in a site where machinery struggles due to the terrain. Have your horses got greater capability in such conditions?

Thanks,

Jeremy

Cheers mate much appreciated, yep we use supper heavyweight shires with special shoes that allow us to keep traction in sum pretty tough conditions and on very steepground, our best horse runs at about 8/9 ton dead weight pull on clean ground and 4/5 ton DWP on claggy ground, with very little damage to the site.
