Tilt the saw towards you slightly with the battery facing you. Press the forward catch a few times and, if it's like mine, at one point the catch will not re-engage properly.

Then with the saw tilted further over press or bump the other catch. The battery will fall out.

Will try that 2mor0.

Toyota avoided taking responsibility for “sudden acceleration” on some of their cars here in the US - just got slapped with a 1.2 BILLION dollar fine. Plus there are hundreds of personal lawsuit cases lined up waiting for court dates.

Head in the sand avoidance till some one gets hurt or dies - thats a good plan.

Tried it with a brand new saw today. Could replicate it straight away. Local Husky dealer gob smacked.

You should really try doing a video of it and posting it publicly. That way Husqvarna will HAVE to pull out their heads from wherever they are hiding them :sneaky2: and come forward with a public statement about what they plan to do about future production, as well as what they will do with products already out there (procedures, retrofit, recall).

Just been informed by a Husqvvarna rep that Husky produced a mod to the T536LiXP saw to retain the battery. Great news.

If you are looking for the youtube vid I posted of it coming loose, I've now deleted it.

Happy days!
