well ,,,at the moment, have contractors in with saw blade hedge trimmer butchering 10 to 20 years of growth.

 

dads view, all that paperwork to still loose money on the grants system,,,,just not worth the hassle.

 

a laid hedge is stock proof//people proof for a generation. when are defra going to open their eyes and ears, by their track record never.

 

as farmers we can only do what is economically dictated by government and industry..

 

get charles to influence some more money into the grants system, better for us all including the environment.

i see alan ashby only got third in midland and thats god.

well done to peter tunks very good cutter worked with him on surrey hedgelaying groups. and well done dorset on getting second and it has been amended on there site but its taken ages just to put results up.

and i see a lady cutter came third in SOE intermediates. very tough class to enter.

i am looking to do it next year now i have got some hedges under belt this year getting eye in. so need to have some hedge to do before next years comp so have practiced. but good cutters in SOE class even in intermediates.

the winner i would say was good to do open.

can you give me a bell on mobile when you can
