The hydraulic pressure relief valve on your chipper was set at factory to 150BAR, in order to check this you will need to fit a hydraulic pressure gauge and stop tap in the system in correct orientation, this can be quite awkward and messy. There is also the danger if debris enters the system while you are testing this it could make the situation worse.

If the valve pressure has been altered or debris is caught in the valve seat, this may stop the feed rollers from pulling in certain size wood (as per you other arbtalk enquiry ref roller springs)

I would suggest taking your machine to a Timberwolf dealer and get them to check this valve for you.
