Cerebral overload - I've always had my chukkies big end up cos you can get bigger soldiers in there. But now I'm worried that I'm a wierdo who has been doing it wrong.

Aaaargh - i'm going to take my egg to my Stihl dealer so he can SHOW me how to do it.

No more eggs through the post and wrong usage from me!

Your Wife is right and everyone else on this thread so far is wrong! Seriously. I was told this fact by blackache farm amoungst others and of course thought "nonsense", just like when someone told me Father Christmas / Santa Claus is red because of Coca-Cola, being formerly green.

Well, the air cell is (nearly) always at the broad end. If you stored them for any length of time with the pointed end up it could encourage another air cell to develop in the pointed end, as the contents slowly dehydrate and the inner membrane pulls away from the outer membrane due to gravity and more available space within the egg.

Eggs obviously are more stable the 'normal' way round and packaging, transport etc dictates this but pointy end down is correct from a biological perspective.

No mate, that's probably how they do it in Australia, but they all stand upside down there anyway.

Ask a Weeble, they would be no fun at all with the pointy end down.

A staggering suggestion. Are you seriously putting forward the idea of decapitating 'Weebles' and eating their gooy bits?

I have to sit down now. My childhood is draining before my eyes.
