I'm not knowledgable enough to say except my experience of the palax was not a good one; it was very unproductive. I could have done more with a chainsaw and axe. Well built sure enough but the conveyor is too long imo and every log irrespective of length drops sideways after cutting - maddening. Prefer farmi and japa myself. The guy with the palax combi had the HP oh60 before and reckoned it was better!

that would drive me mad, the tajfun has 2 flaps the cut log sits on before falling into the splitting chamber, these 2 flaps almost eliminate logs falling side ways.

the bar is either 16 or 18", cant remember rght now. but the opening of the intake is the deciding factor. and that is a good 18". the 8 way knife is great on big stuff

im liking the look of these tajfun. where did you buy yours from? I used to work for a fellow who had a bindenberger 450. I put roughly 800-1000 tonne though that

it was some machine like

must of been impressed with it then. they must be a fairly new processor or have I just not heard of them before?

I dont think they have been in the uk that long but are taking the market by storm. they have sold 40 odd since last Oct so i was told. Much better build then the HP or Japa. Joy stick control is superb and priced sensibly imo.
