What ground saw is best these days?

Maybe it just seems like a long time ago. I closed my company down around 18 months ago, but since then I've changed a lot and am just getting back into the swing of things.

Also remembering properly now, two were 260's and two were 261's I'd replaced them with. One of the 260's didn't work but I was keeping it thinking that I'd fix it or something one day.

And have a bit of chillax, it was a tongue in cheek comment, that is all. I treat all women very very well... Until it's the morning then they are kicked out pronto. :)

My guess would be that they don't tend to hang around that long.

HI SAM this forum is very very friendly ive meet some good chaps on here it the way you come across to some of us mate jon

I'll remember that some people on the internet believe in political correctness and have no sense of humor then. These blokes must be amazing to work with, and great fun on the lash.

Hello Sammym, The 550 will do your job & with relish, the Stihl 261 has had a few problems with clutch basket bearings breaking up, maybe someone can chip in & inform if the latest ones have the problem sorted.

The main thing to remember is that writing something on a public forum is not the same as talking to a mate in the pub.

I could quite happily tell my mates to "F*%$k off, as they're acting like complete c¥~+s...."

To write that down though, where it could be read, years from now by the most dour vicars daughter imaginable is another thing entirely.

I had one of the first 261's in the country. And had that problem... Was a major drama as the local dealer refused to loan me a saw when they repaired it... The second one I got was fine. However once it stopped oiling the chain and it wasn't blocked... I will never use that dealer again. However I do like Stihl. The saws really did put up with abuse. I just wanted to see if there was a new kid on the block. It appears there is! So thanks.

Good point. I was joking, however it can come across in the wrong way on the internet. I suppose if I wouldn't say it infront of my fiance's parent's I shouldn't write it here.
