Building a walnut box

Delighted at teh outcome for you mate. The box was fantastic and well worth the price. I give away far too many of my carvings BUT thats my choice. I dont carve to make money and i love giving carvings to community sites/schools etc. Having said that, a appreciative customer who not only values your work but is also happy to pay is a joy to work for

Deliver the box this afternoon and she looked close to tears when she saw and opened it (don't think it was the bill ) Moments like that make it all worthwhile.

 

She was not remotely surprised by the price as she had allowed for an extra 20%. Turns out that lots of her friends are artists and apparently none of us are any good at pricing our work.

I rather liked sharing this job with you all. Working on my own all day without anyone to chat with or bounce ideas off is hard at times and posting it up on here and getting encouraging comments was quite therapeutic.
