Burrell may have a point, im thinking of getting a 660 and would then need new rails. Only thing I don't know is if at adversley affects balance etc running a 36 " mill on a 20" bar? What would be recommended as biggest bar size milling on a 660?

Balance - the rails stck forward so if anything they slightly counterbalance the power head.

Bar length - Stihl say 36", actually for milling a 41" is OK if you can find one.

For the extra bit of money if I was u wooded I would buy the 36inch mill as u can alway put a bigger saw on it

I first brought the 24inch mill for my 441

Then got a 660 and wished I brought a 36inch mill

So brought 48inch rail set

Brought 2 076

Now I wish I brought the 56 rails

I think the best mill for small saw and big saws is the 36inch mill u have so many different size bars u can play with

With out spending more money

My biggest saw is a 576xp so the 24 is perfect, can't afford a bigger saw
