We have been looking in to this ourselves and thought that you might like to know that FISA have added some information relating to refresher training. Quoted from the FISA website:

" .... For clarity, FISA continues to recognise the validity of the existing and past industry qualifications e.g. old NPTC and new City and Guilds and Lantra awards qualifications.

After 1st October 2013 any operator successfully progressing through to a higher level unit (and delivered by a non-FISA trainer) this will also qualify for having met the refresher criteria under the FISA evidenced route."

There are now 2 options available; you could refresh or you could take a higher level qualification. There is funding available for some Level 3 courses for eligible people working in Forestry & Woodland Management.

Feel free to call or email to discuss!

So, lets say you already have CS30/31 and 32, but have not refreshed in over 5 years. If you then do CS33, (and pass) you will automatically be classes as having being refreshed in 30/31/32?

I have attached the City & Guilds (NPTC) Factsheet which shows the titles of the new units and pre-requisites. It will be useful for anyone wishing to take a higher level qualification .... providing you don't hold all of them already! There are 3 new Qualifications on there.
