Don't see why a rock harness should hold you back for recs, tree harnesses are a bit more substantial to carry heavier gear. For confidence "slow and low",don't go climbing around anything too big or high, keep it simple for now until you feel confidant to move on,just keep practicing mate and you'll get there ;)

A good recreational harness I'd go for the petzl sequoia light very comfortable and you can also attach additional top part to form a full body fall arrest harness. I climb every day in it and love it and its cheap.

A quick look at the Hse Tree climbing guide will give you a rough outline of recommendations which you'll find online, But I recommend the "climbers companion" eBay it or wherever you purchase your harness will more than likely sell it.

Have fun!!!!!!

P.s wouldn't recommend climbing alone or if you do let someone know and give them a rough idea of how long you'll be.

If you already have the rock climbing harness then crack on with that. 120cm sling with a clove hitch just in front of each hip makes side tie in points for a lanyard (not comfortable and do not treat as trustworthy PPE). If you're buying from scratch though, go for an industrial offering. Cost difference is small in comparison to extra usefulness.

That is the list that I want to buy as a beginner and the harness is only £120.

Nice work man. Very useful and you seem to have managed to save yourself a good hundred quid by bothered to compare the prices across the suppliers. :thumbup1:
