Talking point definitely doesn't hurt.

 

Smart or scruffy, and I've done both, I think it's probably what you say that counts (apart from with the cheapest price at all costs brigade).

 

Vehicle at extreme either end of the spectrum will probably count against you as well.

Depends wether I'm going first thing before work or last thing after work as to wehter I'm tidy or scruffy, don't really think most people are bothered, just make sure you turn up a the agreed time, be polite and listen to what they want, then advise accordingly :001_cool:

For the French, gear and sawdust are acceptable during weekdays but most tradesmen who quote at weekends dress up smartly even if they use a dirty company vehicle.

I try and turn up in clothes that won't let me down and yet won't stop me from having a quick climb to inspect a tree either.

We are strict on corporate image, gives us the air of a bigger outfit.
