This must be totaly devastating to the communities involved. I hope it rains soon, there seems to be no other way to stop the fires. Apparently the flames are four stories high and move at 40mph.

My old man was evacuated on saturday, he s back home now but still not safe. the fires are moving at 60-80kph many are trying to get out by car but cannot out run the flames. and some C***S are lighting them deliberately. unreal

Not sure what the outcome will be but I am seriously considering getting out there to help

Its sad to see that morons with no concience can go around and ruin peoples lives. Unfortunatly the death penalty dosnt stand in Aus :mad1:

Its completely feasible that within the 180 dead there are a few kiddie fiddlers, rapists and murderers. Their live have been extinguished (:001_smile:) by other murderers, making them vigilantes by accident. You are associated with murderers by virtue of having the same values.

Imagine if you will that all 180 were murderous scum as detailed above. Would you be applauding them for these deaths? What if they made one mistake? Would this be acceptable? Probably not. Therein lies the biggest flaw of the death penalty; it's not always the guilty that gets it.

"Give it to em Chris".

That aside, this is horrendous stuff. Not being able to out drive a wall of fire must be terrifying.
