Out of Stanstead Wednesday at 18.15 on Ryanair, collected car and dropped on as everything else had gone, so brand new Nissan x-trail.

Cheap hotel close to airport and up early for a very wet but stunning drive to the show.

Car park was horrendous in the section I was in, but the rest seemed to be holding up better on the sloping areas.

Enjoyed a full day at the show, extremely friendly, some huge stands, and despite the horrendous weather, still fine to walk around.

Made a decent enough escape from the car park, and then stayed about 45 minutes away at Grenna, north of Jonokoping, which was a lovely place on the side of the lake.

Made the call to leave it on the Friday, had a leisurely day, lovely drive back to Gothenburg and back to Standstead.

Seen exactly what I went to see, enjoyed it very much, and will return to Sweden using Gothenburg again, as it was so cheap and simple.

I only booked 2 weeks before and got a pretty decent deal all round.

Eddie.

few things not seen before, jcb hydradig with a quick fit linkage similar to 3 point link and tilt rotate system, now if they did that in a bigger machine.... my pocket may be lighter, steering rear axel on forwarding trailer from Igland, a bit difficult to tell this time round but it seemed as if there was slightly less action but I may have been in the wrong place at the time, good to see old familiar and also new people at the show, it can be a small world forestry at times, my best regards to you all

I was lucky enough to go with work but it wasn't easy to find flights or accommodation two weeks before the show. I wouldn’t say it’s impossible; it just wasn’t easy or cheap as expected.

We flew into Copenhagen from Gatwick and hired a car, drove 3 hours north on the motorways to Jonkoping. I think the flights were less than £150 return, each. Thursday morning – Saturday afternoon.

Traffic queues to get into the car park were 3 hours long if you arrived later in the day!!! So we found the car parks exit on a Google maps and drove in backwards, which took about 30 mins, via the forest tracks which were all accurately marked on the software. The local police covered most of the nearby entrances to the forest but once you find a track then no one’s going to stop you. 4G coverage was also pretty much everywhere should you get lost. No 4x4'ing... all done in a 17 plate Yaris!

The show its self was an eye opener… it would drive any health and safety officer nuts. A lot more relaxed than a UK forestry show. The lay out was really easy to follow and demos ran almost all day. I think we walked 8 miles on the Saturday, so take some walking boots and a decent set of waterproofs!
