See, more abbreviations!😁 I blame them over the pond!!

I keep it simple and use SRT for everything, access, and work. It's just SRT to me. I can't understand why anyone would use SRT to access a tree and then switch to Ddrt?

I agree, plain old SRT every time.....:thumbup1:

I use ddrt for branch walking, I'm not very good at it to be honest and I like the security of pulling myself back in toward the tip. No doubt as I practice srt more I'll ditch ddrt. Although I do like to use my ddrt gear every now and again, it's still nice!

woo hoo im the only one on ropewrench spiderjack combo.....hmm maybe its a bad thing? i have always wanted an srt access line but struggled with the concept of a few things without being shown and didnt want to waste my money on naff stuff. got the rope wrench at the apf and been an srt addict ever since. love the sj as it bites instantly, went back to hitch the other day for a try and it offended me having to check it everytime

It's a strange thing Worcs. Several months ago I climbed a tree DdRT and it seemed like a pain but returning from the long skinny branches was easier. Then a few months ago I did DdRT again and it was beyond awful.

It appears that as I've become more proficient on a single rope I've grown away from doing it on a doubled rope. Something I never thought possible.

For the record I'm not slagging off a doubled rope.:laugh1:

Last week I got into a little Birch started on DdRT but had to switch to SRWP. I've just become a creature of habit.

Anyway, I'd better get back in my trench before Ewan starts firing volleys at me again. This is the third time he's witch hunted me:confused1:
