I've decided I'm going to get some Aspen in to try.

Before I wasn't willing to take an 80 mile round trip especially to buy some or pay the £20+VAT delivery charge to get some direct from Aspen!

I spend a bit of time in the Welshpool area at the moment, so next time, I'm going to pop over to Newtown to get some Aspen from the stockist there..... Plus I see they stock quads, ride-ons and Kubota tractors. So will have an oggle at them too

i use aspen in all my saws. my echo which hates to run properly runs better on aspen. did go back to normal 2 stroke but was a pain mixing the fumes coming off. also saws run longer on aspen to normal 2 stroke i beleive run faster. and run better than on normal. pity it was not a tad cheaper. so it matched normal petrol and the mix to go in still about £4 dearer.

I don't in the 200 for various reasons. One; I've heard the rumours and I'm scared it won't like it and will die, like the 576 I had that didn't like aspen. Two; its the saw that I run most fuel through, so no worries with old or stale fuel, and the cheaper option. Three; generally, being up in a tree you're better ventilated than down on the ground so no worries about fumes-my main reason for using aspen in others. Four; if I did try aspen and it went bad, 200's are getting nigh on impossible to get hold of, and I won't buy a 201.

There are stories about that the MS200T wont run on Aspen.

I dont believe it, I think its just that the MS200 carb is a fickle thing and plays up whatever fuel is used.

I am keen to hear from those of you who do use Aspen in the MS200, as I want to put this myth to bed if possible.

I'll do some testing if you supply the aspen and sort any necessary repairs:D

Nice try Dan, now if you were in East Devon.........

Seriously though, logically Aspen cant hurt anything and certainly wont kill a saw. Carburation may however be a little different, and Aspen may show up existing problems caused by petrol.

I do want to put this to bed as a myth though, so still want to hear from other users.
