I'm Graham and I'm a new boy, I've got academic history in Conservation work but it has made me decide to get into the Arb Industry so I am here to learn, Based in the SW (recently moved from Lancs)

This is a change of direction for me at 35 so any tips and advice would be very welcome, a friend in Arb referred me to this site as you guys seem to know everything.

I'm booking courses as we speak so any advice would be good.

Nice to meet you all

Welcome to the forum graham, im sure plenty will offer any help that they can give. Personally i dont think you can beat work experience to get you started after you have the qualifications. if you intend to be a climber, maybe look for some recreational climbs in your area before taking your cs38, you may find one where you can borrow some kit, this will give you a good feel for climbing and the kit before you shel out on your own equipment.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
