Best thing you can do to make your saw last longer is leave it standard and take care of it. If you want the saw to cut faster my advice would be to focus on your sharpening more than anything.

 

well that was the first thing I did today was to find my sharpener that sits on the saw and you can set all the correct angles to get it right , but I do agree corect sharpening is the most important thing
