Thank you. I'd been thinking it was Tramates but then it didn't really look like it on the fung guide.

Not necessarily the right place. But I have some kind of epiphytic fungi on a doulas fir, (not my photo I'm sure it's some kind of pine). Would be interested to know if anyone knows what it is. Possibly taking advantage of moisture/sugary sap ?

On second look, you're probably right with the Ganoderma Tony.

 

 

 

Although In my defence I did say they 'look like' Fomes, not that they were.

 

Microscopy has recently led me to be more cautious with my identification.
