I think it looks like Gymnopilus junonius - the spectacular rust gill

Not seen or heard of it on Euculyptus before.

 

 

Unsure on the ones out on the roots.

Looks like the one David, thanks.

Couldn't find it on the app first time round, as you say Euc is not renowned as a host species.

 

Biggish tree with 30' regrowth leaders after badly advised topping.

What's the general tree scape at Wheatfen?

 

Can see birch & beech, any other dominants?

it's a mixed woodland David very overgrown with amazing wildlife and insects , I will be going to visit again soon ,a lot of trees I would have liked to have had more time to study .Its open all year round so anyone who wants a day out well worth a look.
