Should be fine as long as the engine mounts the same. So long as the belt pulley or clutch fittings are the same then it should be ok. I just upgraded my engine on my splitter with a bigger engine and that's fine.

From reading other forums about this engine I get the impression there was a manufacturing problem where the gasket blew due to an issue with the bolts. I've got a feeling this happened with mine, on what i was told was a newish engine when I bought the machine. Anyone else had this problem?
