hi all ,my husky 61 is finally gave up,so was looking at this husq 254xp please see link below.

Husqvarna 254 xp 15" bar Fully overhauled probably a better bet than £300 357xp | eBay

What is the general opinion on these with regards to reliability, build quality, power etc?

It would be used for the odd felling of trees, but the bulk of the work would be logs, ground work only.

The saw in the link as you can see has been fully overhauled........what do you think with regards to the price?

Is there any questions I should be asking that isn't covered in his listing?

What bar would you recommend,I was thinking 15" or 18"?

Thanks

The 254 is a good saw and have got to say that the listing has been done well, he lists the P&C as being Italian, this means it is a Meteor one and therefore of decent quality and sounds like the rest of the parts are OEM.

From the listing, I would be reasonably confident the guy knows what he is talking about and would hope the saw is pretty damn good and the price reflects the work done.

You could pick up a 346Xp for the same money that will cut faster and be a bit more lively.......
