Not your good self but i was called a dealer/repair agent, or work for an arb company, sorry none of these, didnt mean to affend anybody, this information was left out of the instruction book as it was thought that most users would leave them idling anyway,, but rest assured it is a fact, be my guest and check it out with Husqvarna technical.

Ah you're husky staff then, which means I've probably already met you...

And if your information is correct (I have been told different by your technical guys) then it's pretty damn stupid to reset the saw whilst idling.

Any news of the 572xp yet?

Brought a 550xpg 2 days ago, run it up today, ploughed it through a load of wood to set the AT and then felled its first tree!

Massive smile on my face, what a great saw, light and nimble... I have spent far to long using a 372xp as a ground saw (great saw for the bigger stuff of course).

I have to say I'm never buying a another saw without the heated handle ever again! For the extra £30 it's a no brainer!!!

How much power in Watt units does the heated carb & handles consume?

Does one feel the power loss, when comparing a XP vs a XPG model?

Does the 200 gram extra weight the heated model carries on eg. the flywheel part affect the responsiveness of the XPG model?

I guess the power penalty of a heated carb & handles model is the reason, why we don't find the "G" models on saws with less than 43 cc ?

Knowing from snowmobiles and ATVs, heated handles and throttle thumb is an absolute mandatory item in winter times. On chainsaws the gain is reduced health issues, paired with the comfort of needing less gloves changes during a winter day's work.

In watts it should be around 65w, i have never seen a noticable loss of power, i am not a lover of heated carbs so would remove it, it is just not required in the UK, pre heating fuel can cause all sorts of issues.

Don't believe we are talking about heated carbs?

But if you do have a saw with a heated carb beware if you leave it on it will seize your saw

No more than 2 mins I believe it says in handbook

I disconnected heated carb on 372 but all my saws that can have heated handles have them and I leave them on until my fingers are burning
