reduced the height of a spruce the other day which was obviously worked on earlier in the year therefor was covered in sap. My question is how to get sap off a wire core flip line safely without damaging the core or sheath.

Cheers in advance:001_smile:

I am not a climber so I do not know what effect this product would have on a rope but I use this stuff for cleaning resin from my machines and it works a treat.

Resin Remover - Cleaning agent - Cleaning and maintenance - Accessories

Edit. just had a quick google and just learned that resin is not sap but the product would probably still work.

Don't bother. It"s not really a problem. I have never cleaned mine, not noticed any ill effects.

You've not noticed ill effects climbing Douglas fir ?

I've had to change rope and friction cord halfway through a day before now due to sap. Those damn bubbles. Thank god for rope grabs.
