Yee sorry misread that when I whip I lockstitch underneath so the whip and lockstitch to me should go hand in hand.

Also the glue thing is very hazy due to so many types and brands cheap/inexpensive, and also there is no 'ingredients' list on a pack of electrical tape so what adheisive is used?

What adheisives damage what ropes?

As you know drew ropes are made out of many combinations of materials and which of these can be affected any of the glues in any of the tapes?

My loler inspector refused a good chunk of my kit because of my fetish for tidying up kit with tape, now I don't bother.

Lool I know it is but he's the cheapest I've found and actually not anal about everything, quite good really he just don't like tape on load bearing partsMaybe someone should check breaking strains with tape on textiles would be interesting to know if it's a load of crap or not!

I know of some loler inspectors that will fail a SJ or rw Lj or the like because they can't be bothered with keeping up to date and dont actually know how to use them!
