Need a new pair of boots for work and wondered if any of you guys have recommendations for a non chainsaw protective boot that's good for climbing. Been in a pair of Meindl hiking type boots for last couple years and they've been cracking. Seen a few in their range I fancy but open to suggestions.

I grabbed a pair of these a couple of months back cannot fault them. Very comfy and grippy.

Aku Cresta GTX. (Not the Weg GTX) I had a bit of trouble tracking a pair down and ended up buying from a outdoors shop nr Windemere.

I think Nod is getting more in though soon. Hope this helps.

Ewan, you have obviously been wearing them walking to and from bars!

Dak, is there a UK supplier for the Salewas? I like the look of them too.

My AKU Crodas have hardly been off my feet for over two years, but are starting to go, and sadly they are discontinued, as are the Crestas Rich has got.

ive had my salewas 2 - 3 months now and theyre not holding up very well, ive broken off 3 eyelets already. theyre really good in the tree but i just don't think theyre up to working every day. it's a shame as they are really nice boots. ive got a pair of akus like rich's on the way and im hoping theyre as good as i've been told and as well built as they look.
