Not sure if this helps much but.................

 

I have a Handol who are the same company now I believe and I cant fault it, not got a lot of experience with stoves but my mate who has a Firebelly looks at it very enviously every time he's over and comments how warm my house is:biggrin:

 

It is a different model though

It is a different model though

 

We have been set on fitting a Handol 51L for years now (still changing the fireplace/inglenook) after being more impressed over it`s build quality and heat output/efficiency over any other model so I`d initially look at Contura stoves with high praise being 1 & the same co. now as you state.

I've had a Handol 51L for 3 years now and can really recommend it, very efficient. I'm currently burning a mix of Leylandii, cedar and oak and the house is roasting. We getting an extension built and planning on fitting a Contura 550 or 580.

That's the one I have and its the best grand I ever spent, even the other half compliments me on my stove choosing ability.

We're looking at getting another stove installed and are looking at the contura range.

Does anyone have any experience with these?

Currently looking at the 810 model.

Decent well made stoves, Contura are owned by the group that also own Nordpies and another Scandinavian brand.
