A bit of fracture pruning with the aim to start some vigorous regrowth on this oak today by one of the gangs. The plan is to return in a few years and see if we can gradually reduce and make it smaller if required.

I went out and reduced the overhang back from a property for a highways site instead. Not the prettiest but I had to follow the spec.

A couple of willows heavily pollarded in a tight spot, some cut and chuck but mainly rigged due to a myriad of targets.

Tree snapped clean off at the base and landed on a kiddys nursery so we called in some big hydraulics to stop it damaging anything else like the conservatory, boiler house, electric line, shed and classroom it was lying on.
Went so smoothly with a crane that could lift 3.5ton at 17m[emoji16]

Felling 30 pines on a development site, most trees had the roots dug out and a lot of them had a significant lean towards the highway which was well within falling distance. Removed the back weight or dismantled to a spar and pulled stems back into the site. Back tomorrow to chip and extract timber for collection with arctic

Decent bit of veteran tree management today. All but dead Sweet Chestnut to safety prune over a footpath. Plenty of saprophytic fungi present and some cracking habitat.

 

The coronet cut was a bit poor but difficult to do with limited work positioning.
