Felling a big Top

Recommended Posts

 you mean you don't have to spend 1/2 hour trying to throw your rope over the 1st branch - after throwing & tangling up your throwline in a hawthorne tree 60ft away

Did ladders go out of fashion :confused1::confused1::confused1:

That is one hell of a video! Scary at times, thrilling at others.

That pose at the end is iconic! :thumbup1:

where was the BIG top?

Messy, ugly trees....Git R Done, Ed,

Is he still alive even?

....as I seem to recall him posting that he had liver disease or something, in explaining the reason he'd put on weight some time ago.

I met Ed at the AA show several years back. Veeerry well spoken and charming fellow indeed....I'd bet he could/can sell a job for sure.

4500 regular posts, and then nothing....why? I've yet to reach 800 even, been a member all along.

Ed, we miss ya (those who were here), come back baby

Hi guys. Just typed out a long reply, and the forum software lost it. Thanks for the kind words. I had a bet on those trees, that I could put both of them completely on the floor in under an hour. I won.

You should trademark the iconic pose at the end.

When I start working again, I might use it at the end of each job (even after trimming a conifer hedge) - a true classic! :thumbup1::biggrin:

Nice video, shame the cameras weren't as good in the olden days.

I bet the groundies were well chuffed with the hour of carnage you left on the floor :-)
