Go to BTS and speak to them in their office.

I know what it's like to be on the receiving end of phone calls and emails from guys looking for work on spec, and always want to follow it up but more often than not it gets pushed to the bottom of the pile because managers etc are busy and then forget.

 

Go see them face to face, you'll give a much better impression!

With regards to who made you redundant, I believe that they can't readvertise your position for 6 months without offering it to you first. This would be worth checking though as it has been a while since I was involved in employment law.
