Thanks guys. I should have said its close board fencing.

Tools I'd thought of are post hole spade thingies, string thing, spirit level, nail gun and experienced chap.

A few years ago I was always neck deep in tree work so I passed landscaping and fencing enquiries on.

Those days are gone so I've decided to do it myself.

Thanks for your time chaps.

A nice big post hole borer. Lovely on nice ground but hit a tee root and hang on for dear life. Good for a laugh.

I've done my first fencing job with. Spade, hammer, nail puller, spirit level (got a pack of three sizes with carry bag and free tape measure), string line, didn't get a nail gun straight away. Wait to see how it goes and if it's good then get one. Shovel for mixing concrete and some ply to mix on. Wheel barrow. And a post spirit level.

Oh and an old axe and mattock.

My equipment list, sharp pick mattock (forget boarer), square, level, small level, hammer, nails, iron bar, sharp shovel, small shovel, 4x2 batton, screws, battery drill, wheel barrow, lump hammer, plum line and pencil, ballest, cement, water, handsaw, if making yourself then lots of larch. Tried, tested & proven. Any questions feel free to ask. Samarb

What is larch, when it's not a tree?
