hi i need advice i hav a 1998 entec diesel chipper that sometimes makes a squeaking / screeching noise [ definitley not the belts ] this has happened the last 3 times of use its not a constant noise and usualy only happens after chipping when its turned down to tickover but sometimes gives the odd squeak at full revs . do you think this could be the bearings as i do ? i also cant find any grease nipples . i am quite confident i could change the bearings i am just wondering about gaps between blades and anvils when putting back together . any advice would be appreciated

Hi Flashdog

This could be a bearing issue, you will not find grease nipples to the rotor because the rotor bearings are sealed and do not require additional lubricant.

Blade to Anvil gap should be 2.5-3.0mm.

Have you considered the bearings situated within the belt tensioner roller may be making the noise?

Would be worth giving Timberwolfs Technical Support a call if you decide to change the rotor bearings, they can be reached on 01449 765820, you will need the model and serial number of your machine for this service.

Hope this helps :thumbup1:
