Husqvarna 254xp your thoughts?

I recently put a new piston and ring on my 254xp. So long as you take it steady, it's an easy job. I used a Mako kit which seems to have a reasonable rep on the other saw forum. OEM is silly money, as is a cylinder.

Basically I picked up a fairly straight clean looking 254xp from a farm sale a little while ago it starts but won't run seems to have plenty of compression and nothing obvious looks amiss it is it worth spending money on having it looked at by someone that knows more than I do (I only know basic day to day servicing) or are they not worth it as they don't seem to come up much on all the searches I have done. Your. Your views/opinions would be very welcome thanks

best mid range saw ever built imo:thumbup:
