I had a Timberliner 8000, but I had a loglift 51 crane, not a crappy botex. More hassle than their worth, very heavy trailer with no reverse on the drive...

I was thinking next year of getting a bigger tractor and forward trailer, for what I need it for it wouldn't need driven wheels as it would be just for collecting timber from roadside. Probably better to build something ??

 

Why are they so heavy Ed, it does look very heavy and bulky at the front end

I suppose they're heavy because of all the driveshafts, beams, diffs and hubs. also all the plating to carry it. I had to replate all the front of mine, as it cracked badly.

 

An ordinary drag trailer is fine for any tree surgeons needs.

hey dean, your old nemisis here. if you are after a basic trailer just for lifting stuff i made one up a few years ago, now surplus to requirements.

those ifor ones look pretty smart but i bet they aint cheap. i'd at least want it to lift a bulk bag of aggregates
