JCB Fastrac as a chip truck

perhaps the chassis was extended on the fastrac giving more room for a chip box... seen it done with a lime spreader mounted on the back..

The money it would cost to buy then adapt a tractor to meet the needs you could buy a small house.....

dont think fastrac bed would benefit a box as not big enough.

Where i used to work,they ran a 10" junkkari on the front of a renault temis with 10tonne trailer behind,used to just drop the trailer turn tractor round and load from the front of the trailer,but the trailers fill real quick with 10" filling them so ud soon fill a box on a fasttrac bed.

Not quite Fastrac but my Forward Control MB Trac with Heizohack chipper and demountable chipbox fits the bill. Will also turn on a sixpence unlike the fastrac having both crab steer and coordinated steer. I needed something to extract biomass from forest brash and thats what I came up with.

But they still have the turning circle of a bus.

 

Had to change the wheels on one before after adjusting the stopper still wasn't enough to steer out of a yard.

 

Had one of these on demo a while ago and I liked it a lot more than the original looking fastracs, plus the power increadable.

I think its horses for courses, if I had a Fastrac with a big chipper on it I wouldnt be faffing around doing little domestic jobs, but large commercial works, where access is not such an issue!i have to agree, I think a Mog is a more multi purpose workhorse for Arb work, with the capacity to have cranes, winches, pto chippers and flails and such like attached, and then tow large loads too.
